This speaker works really well with my iPod classic. I like the line in by cable. My iPod does not have blue tooth and since I have never found a blue tooth device that stayed working, I am happy to have the hard wired option. I like that this unit just does speaker. I don't have to set it up every time I want to use it. Finally the battery life and charge is just great. I have been getting better than 4 hour use on a 30 minute charge. Of course that is why I bought 2.
